First for the basics,My name is Alex Jenkins, I'm a graphic designer.

I enjoy design/binding books, making packaging, logos and web design/programming. In fact I like all areas of design. As for my general interests I like books, film, music, art, travel, and going out with friends. My preferred genres are rock and electro, and my favourite bands are Muse, Placebo, Goldfrapp and Skunk Anansie.My favourite Films are Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Cruel Intentions, Batman Returns and Not Another Teen Movie. The authors I enjoy reading most are Garth Nix, Terry Pratchet, Kelley Armstrong (who I designed a book for) and George Orwell. Painters: Kandinsky, Mirò, Botticelli, Goya and Toulouse Lautrec. I'm based in Richmond, South West London.

Work

I've just started working for schoolwebsite.co.uk based in Richmond. In 2009/10 I worked at Richard P Chapman Design Associate. I have interned at Rapid Action Packaging (RAP) in Sheen, worked as a fashion stylist's assistant, taught children art and drama as at summer course for 4 years running and worked at Rift shoe store for 4 years and Joy the store for 1 year. The reason I mention my shop work is because I was a keyholder and supervisor at both.

Education

My name is Alex Jenkins. I have a BA in Graphic Design from Central St Martins (London) and A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Art, Theatre Studies and General studies as well as 10 GCSEs. I have a web design diploma from RACC and am currently doing a course in Calligraphy and then I intend to do a course in Illustration. I also intend to do a masters... but that's the future and therefore not relevant.
